Xiaomi India Managing Director Manu Kumar Jain confirmed via a tweet that the Mi laptop will go official in India on June 11. This upcoming Mi Notebook model is exclusively made for the Indian consumers.
Xiaomi is ready to enter the Indian market with its all new Mi Notebook line-up and the company has been posting teasers about the brand new product segment on its social media handle. The latest in the series of teasers are the slim bezels of the new Mi Notebook. The company claims that the bezels on the Mi Notebook will be much slimmer than other laptops in the price segment.
- The laptop will feature a 13-inch bezel-less display and will be powered by Intel Core i5 sixth gen Intel processor.
- Ultralight — the weight is only 1.23 kg.
- The company has assured 9.5-hour battery life
The device features a 13.3-inch full HD display with an 89 per cent screen-to-body ratio and is powered by Intel’s 10th generation Core processors paired with the Nvidia GeForce MX250 GPU.
It comes with 8GB of DDR4 RAM and a 512GB NVMe SSD. The MI Notebook is backed by a 40WHr battery which the company claims delivers battery life of 11 hours on a single charge. The company also states that the device can charge to 50 per cent within 35 minutes. Apart from all of this, the laptop sports a chiclet-style keyboard and comes with DTS surround sound support.
The global debut of the new Mi Notebook will happen on 11 June at 12 PM IST.
The teaser poster shared alongside reveals very little, but the display seems to have slim bezels. Details regarding the Mi Notebook are scarce at the moment, but the company should reveal more specifics in teasers in the run up to the launch. The launch event will kick off at 12pm (noon) IST and will be streamed across Xiaomi’s social media platforms and Mi.com as well. As is the norm these days, the Mi Notebook launch event will be online-only.
